BERNARD AND THE GENIE (1992) **1/2 Demonstrates more religious pathos in a few sympathetic lines than decades of Sunday school at the hands of moderates. Rowan Atkinson may be the funniest man alive, and is no less so when sporting a devil beard and acting like an evil art dealer who says "ye" a lot. Lenny Henry steals the show as the genie wide open to the joys, pleasures, and gimmicks of the 20th century. Mainly the pleasures, which include fast food. So be good for goodness sake. And have a good time doing it.
