CARRY ON...UP THE KHYBER (1968) ** The bit about (Indian) Burpers being intimidated by Scots soldiers wearing nothing under their kilts was very funny when played early, maybe five minutes into the film. Then they did it again, and again, and again, then you realize that they aren't going to do anything else. This is what happens when reasonably intelligent and creative people limit their contemplations to sex and anatomy jokes. The final dinner and revolutionaries scene is worth waiting for even though you know that they'll find a way to play their best funny one more time to a crescendo of self-acclaim.
