DOCTOR AT SEA (1955) ** Series vehicle for Ricky Ricardo look-alike Dirk Bogarde. His doctor boss, he's a doctor too, tries to get him to marry his hideous and irritating daughter so he runs off to sea. Slowly his infirmary turns into an alcohol dispensery, to the delight of all. The drinking continues on land after he meets Brigitte Bardot, she of the long eyebrows, horrid haircut and affected risque torch song. He engages in a successful operation and the crew gives him a canary. It gets better when the ship captain starts mixing alcohol and drugs and calling everyone even more names than usual.
