A FAIRY STORY (2001) ** More fodder for those who wish to contemplate the esoteric world of fairies, the conspiratorial nature of those who believe in them, or fairy cleavage. The best part for me was the explanation of how the tooth fairies (for, it turns out, there are many) refurbish their coinage supply...and without overtly doing so, explains why sometimes the tooth fairy is unable to provide. There seems an unspoken (unable to be spoken) unity between children cognizant of the reality of the fairy world, and I'm quite certain that this isn't to be confused with the sots who still believed in Santa Claus at an advanced age. As I'm not among the initiated, it's probably best that I stop there. The kind of thing that might have been unbearable in a feature length film, a mildly interesting diversion in its very vew minutes.
