BOOBY TRAP (1957) *1/2 I wonder if it shares this title with a porn film. I bet it does. I never got going with porn movies, but I've admired the cleverness of some of the titles. Anyway, this isn't one. In fact it is relatively nearly the opposite: nothing interesting happens, and in a kind of frustrating way. It's not badly put together and the actors know what they're doing (especially Sydney Tafler and Patti Morgan), but the promise of an exploding fountain pen looms less and less...by the end you're figuring they won't even bother having Big Ben in the picture or at least not bother pretending to blow it up. But will they? It's probably not worth the trip, but if you make it anyway you can wonder about that.
