THE CAT IN THE HAT (2003) ø Hollywood has a deserved reputation for destroying literary masterpieces. They've done it to books even greater than this, but I don't believe it's ever resulted in an even worse film. I choose not to think about it long enough to allocate blame between Mike Myers and the writers. Suffice to say that it's a breathtaking monument to the worst of everyone involved. Vomit jokes don't do it justice but the worst strains of the real thing might.
