CRITTERS 4 (1992) * Ok, I went in expecting a lame, cornball, stupid movie. Ain't it funny how-even when you go in with the lowest expectations-you can get all disappointed anyway. Critters in Space, I wasn't expectin' no Star Wars or Alien or anything (though I expected them to lift ideas in a more entertaining manner from those vastly superior films; ideas that to be fair were recycled in the first place. I guess Angela Bassett is supposed to be the big talent lending credibility here, but I'm afraid that she never manages to get more interesting than the ridiculous bounty hunter yokel that's in all of 'em. One of the guys looks kind of like Warren Zevon, though, that's cool….anything that makes you think about Warren Zevon can't be all bad. Warren Zevon was rad.
