CURSE OF THE KOMODO (2004) *1/2 Ridiculous-but at least ridiculously simple (giant Komodo Dragons chase scientists and criminals around an island eating them)-plot wrapped around an unnecessary, and unexplained (writers couldn't figure it out either. oh well) lie. Not bad, considering all that. It has the usual mix of women who fit some demographic of women who are supposed to appeal to some demographic of men who sit around contemplating women…actually, there's some depth to Melissa Braselle's range on the sleazy/treacherous scale…but no real passion, which again, probably doesn't bother the demographic linked to her demographic. The monsters don't move much, but they look pretty silly and they do eat quickly…and there's all kinds of stock military footage that…well, it doesn't justify the percentage of national spending on "defense," but some of it is pretty cool looking, too.
