DREAMER: INSPIRED BY A TRUE STORY (2005) **1/2 Luis Guzman is so great...just put that mug into any enterprise and you got credibility, gravitas, cache. And I'm talkin' about him first in a movie that has Kris Kristofferson in it. Kris Kristofferson. Oh yeah, and Kurt Russell. Casting was focused on testosterone, and so the flick pumps. Little Dakota Fanning works her way through it all, a horse movie of all things; and Elisabeth Shue smiles for the boyfriends in the audience. It's enough! So a long shot riverboat gambler horse flick seen one you seen 'em all....you probably seen scenes from this one anyway, but it's still a lot of fun, the variations and all. Based on a true story, and we all know how limited reality is.
