EDGE OF TERROR (1987) *1/2 Waaal, kind of towards mild suspense maybe. There's a single-line plot and then the murderer chases the mystery writer lady around for the rest of the movie. I guess it's slightly scarier than your average "Murder, She Wrote" but it's one of those films that's slightly suspenseful when nothing's going on, and less interesting and not particularly frightful at all when they're trying to slice each other open, shoot each other's heads off, etc. Meg Foster has a little bit of a (much less intense) Karen Black thing going, so she's kind of good for such a thing though not nearly enough to turn it into anything else. Wings Hauser has some genuine moments as the insane guy, but his comic book moments negate whatever he manages to get going, too. It's not awful: Robert Morley is briefly amusing, and the Greek Island is beautiful. It's the kind of horror flick you can fall asleep to, and it certainly won't scare you off Greece.
