EMPIRE OF THE ANTS (1977) * You've always wanted to see Joan Collins tormented and pursued by ants, ultimately enslaved by fascistic ant pheromone. I know you have. Well, I mean, if for some reason you haven't then there's absolutely nothing for you here. I guess the opening narrative is kind of funny. I would like to say that Joan's the worst actor in even this lot, but I'm not sure if she is. She's certainly not the best, in the strictly comparative sense of the adjective. You think people dressed hip in the '70s? Yeah, but not everybody, look at this lot. Thinking about moving to Florida? Thank again. Ants. Giant ants, you'll see. Although I'm anti-nuke I refuse to adopt any arguments suggested by this film. Although I've never read his version, I'm positive that H. G. Wells is not responsible for this.
