THE GALAXY INVADER (1985) * Man, that space alien must think we're idiots. Poor guy lands out in the boonies and gets chased around by a bunch of rednecks; stupid, ugly, smelly bref frum drankin'. The poverty of brilliance involved in every stage of the planning and execution is mildly amusing at first, but burns off like a Pabst Extra Light buzz, leaving that unpleasant kind of psychic residue. None of the acting is quite bad enough to carry the thing, the plot is stupid, yes, but never enough to impress...I had to look it up, Richard Ruxton did act again, and someone even let Don Dohler direct...but fortunately their paths were never to pass, professionally, again.
