THE INCREDIBLES (2004) ** Family of retired superheroes, forced into retirement by the man, returned to the fray out of circumstances. Ain't we all, but there aren't any big metaphors here, though there are some witty pot shots at the legal/political system. Instead it's more good family fun, overblown into the heroic circumstances that most all of us imagine at age 8, and only the truly fortunate can summon at 27. But what if... Yep, fathers are given to wild inclinations, and mothers are inclined towards fixing the problems that fathers create, and children wax and wane, and wax and wax, in the wake of it all. Well, that's how we are anyway, too.
