INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN (1956) ** Apparently if you amp a corpse with 280,000 volts it not only comes back to life but each cell multiplies itself hundreds if not thousands of fold. This makes one dense, and strong. Assuming-egregiously-that your command of the finer points of science is roughly comparable to my own, this seems an entirely reasonable premise unworthy of commentary much less rebuttal. So there's Lon Chaney running amok, yea! Oh sure he's murdering people left and right, but some of them probably more less deserve it, and....for a film of this era and genre....that is to say lowbrow of the low brow...it ain't bad, whaddyawant ? You got some plot over theah, you got some people acting, there's surprising events. You got a little Los Angeles funicular, a little San Francisco science lab, there's always stuff happening in California anyway, don't worry about that. They just put the camera out the window and stuff like this happens. The sewer is not a metaphor.
