INN FOR TROUBLE (1960) ** Shakespeare, Shelley, Dickens.for thousands of years you see, well the British didn't do that sort of wacky, deranged madcap over the top sort of thing. Perhaps Dudley Moore started it before Monty Python trumped the intergalactic franchise for all time, but whenever it was it was after this. Sophisticated and subtle can be quite amusing, issuing from a particular pen, but for the most part the more proletarian writers settled for a mild discolouration of understated. The interest and intent all being in the discolouration, of course. Of course. The happier side of drinking here, you'll see, the side that most find amusing as such. A few well warranted gentle potshots at the crusts of the other class and one would think one well on his way. Good ale and lots of it, French girls, happy farms, say has anyone nominated Peggy Mount our ambassador to some nation that no one likes recently sort of thing.
