JACK HUNTER AND THE STAR OF HEAVEN (2009) ** Waal, what can you say? It's just like the other ones. They don't waste your time. They assume that you've already seen Indiana Jones movies, and so they need not explain the extraordinary powers of artefacts. In so doing they unfortunately miss out on the very interesting aspects of Coptic Christianity, but it's not a film for history buffs. Still and all, there is an interesting argument that Jesus was Egyptian, or may have spent many of his formative years in Egypt, but that has nothing to do with this . This is…this is…well, Ivan Sergei and Joanne Kelly wear the same suits they wore during the first two flicks, so…if a guy who clearly works out at the gym a lot and doesn't like buttons is your thing-or a gal who looks good in tight jeans…if that's enough for you, this is it! They make a point of flashing back to Ivan's topless scenes in the earlier flicks, and…in a defining moment…as Joanne bends down over a fallen comrade…the camera man can't…or won't…anyway, doesn't…help lingering on her ass. It's an action movie where the best part is cars driving through exotic surroundings; not even a car chase, mind you, just cars cruising along in cool places.
