KUNG FU: THE MOVIE (1986) ** I was never too crazy about the tv show, and this is like that. Only longer. The additional exposure should lead anyone to the conclusion that they're trying to be mystical, they just aren't sure how. They're apparently convinced that it has something to do with disappearing Chinamen. David Carradine never lets on that he knows things are blowing a little bit vapid, which is good acting, and Martin Landau's in it with a beard. Those may be reasons to watch. Existentialism majors may enjoy the entropic development-I'm not talking about a plot here, which is appropriate since while development is its own plot it need not have an identity either distinguishable to identifiable. Or maybe everything's distinct and unique, and the more so the less suceptible to description, and particularly direct description. If it makes you think things like that, you have that inclination. Otherwise you'll probably settle for reasonably entertaining.
