POLAR STORM (2009) ** They drive an obsolete Russian submarine from San Francisco to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in less time than it takes the kid to get to the next town over in rural Washington. Waaal, that could explain how the sub manages to get away from a 100 megaton nuclear explosion so fast. Of course it does cast some shadow of gullibility over the remainder of the proceedings. You gotta look for things like that. Right-wing conspiracy nut's dream: Black American president declares martial law and starts roundin' people up... I sure hope the North Pole doesn't end up on the South Pole, though...although it was be funny seeing how bad it pisses off the realtors. So, yeah, you know, just another movie where they have to blow up the Mariana Trench to save the world...and not a talking dog in sight.
