SPEED ZONE! (1989) ** Ok, when you take on Cannonball Run 3 you pretty much know what you're getting: something between "absolutely horrible" and "not all that bad." This is towards the "quite nearly acceptable" part of the "not all that bad" spectrum, so that's pretty good. The cars, obviously....The XJS is my all-time favourite Jaguar, and the Lamborghini is incredible, just watching it move. I found the token Ferrari representation significantly less impressive, actually there was a Trans-Am in it that I liked more. Familiar-if not totally famous-faces abound, and the winners amongst them are probably Donna Dixon, Peter Boyle, Richard Petty, Shari Belafonte and Alyssa Milano, in that order. Got to like a movie where John Candy gets the girl in the end, in the climax, in the last part, the finale, you know. If you could take that, there's nothing worse in the movie. Questionable yes, but not worse.
