LA STRADA PER FORTE ALAMO (1964) *1/2 Apparently Indian mysticism was such that their side of the river could be in broad daylight while the honkey side was night time, and an Indian horse was so fast that it could cover hundreds of miles in several minutes. Unfortunately these themes are neither intentional nor developed; instead presented as merely the result of lack of funding for night cameras, and a plot difficulty that they tried to just kind of try to sweep under the rug. Too bad. Ken Clark might have been an interesting Western hero-he looks tough enough, but somehow when he keeps getting in fights with a very small guy (not quite a midget) he ends up getting throw around a lot. That's too bad, he was no Brando but you could see what they were thinking casting him. Other than that it's just a lot of dumb militarists and Indians behaving badly, squirrelly women and a neither interesting nor desirable love interest.
