PLANET HULK (2010) *1/2 I know that this probably isn't a fair, or sensible, or cool, criticism of an animated version of a giant green comic book guy who isn't known for his wits and guile, but...this is really pretty stupid. I like the animation a lot, Marvel did a good job making it look like the comic books. And some of the dialogue and noises things and people make when they hit other things, or get hit by them...those, you can just imagine how the comic book would have recorded it. Which, I don't know how much of the point that might be, but it is an interesting diversion from a plot that really requires one. It's that interplanetary spiritual silliness, but at an even lower caliber than the Star Wars cartoons. The Star Wars animated cartoons. There are a couple cool scenes in it, and it all looks alright...I guess I'm just not into The Hulk enough to even know why he's stuck being the Hulk here, instead of morphing back and forth into David Banner or Bruce Banner, or whoever he's supposed to. Nah, nah, it's ok, I don't need or want anyone to explain it!
