SON OF RAMBOW (2007) **1/2 [this review must be read in voce de Francais] There are four movies, no? There is the movie you go to see, this one Son of Rambo . That is a film. There is the one these childrens are making, so depicted. That is a movie also, yes? Yes. Also there is this movie from his dreams, this cartoon one, perhaps the best one, cartoons so ambitious and imaginative, so intriguing. And then there is a fourth movie, because there must, it is somewhere, it is in your head, your interpretation, your temperament. That one is yours, you have it. And then there is the movie that no one can see, the hurricane of passions and talent as they feed upon and are in turned devoured by the monster that is the dynamic of the film industry. Of course the British children must be enthralled upon the presence of Jules Sitruk, a recognition not some arrival. The Frenchman is here, culture and class arrive, we are all saved! They are at once impassioned, revolted and impregnated by his red boots. That helps up their gene pool, neh? Ha ha, yes we are all saved, France must save you when Rambo himself can not! Do not ask, I will tell you when you have earned my telephone number.
