THE SHOW-OFF (1926) * I guess they used to just mainly be really amazed to see people up on the screen. It was a reasonable reaction then. Hell, it's still a reasonable reaction now. C. W. Goodrich has good faces for the title role; it's an old genre thing about making someone as awful as possible then turning 'em good at the end. Like in the Hardy Boys. He's really insufferable, but turns into a walking testament to the power of talking shit.
