STEPSISTER FROM PLANET WEIRD (2000) **1/2 Very fine teenager-point-of-view of mom suddenly remarrying a guy from a different planet who acts like a nut, and has an even more bizarre alien daughter who's pretty, so everyone at school thinks she's a brilliant social revolutionary. Tamara Hope (the alien) does a particularly fine job being winsome and weird ("I fear the wind!"), hiding under cars, sitting in sinks, etc. Subterranean social commentary on "the popular lunch table," the significance of potato chips in the cosmos, and interplanetary fascism.
