STORIA DI RAGAZZI E DI RAGAZZE (The Story of Boys and Girls, 1989) * It should have been better: Italian countryside, a bunch of Italians sitting around eating and drinking too much and thinkin' about doing it all the time. Unfortunately they float way too many characters without ever actually getting any off the ground. The score matches the script in abject listlessness. The high point is when they accidentally shoot grandma. There are some not entirely inconsequential artistic touches, and the story about eating 23 pastries doesn't even have a particularly unhappy ending.
