SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON (1960) ** Who hasn't thought how wonderful it would be to get shipwrecked on Tobago? The sad part is the high percentage who would do so without their families. Anyway the island looks nice, they whip up a luxury treehouse in no time at all, apparently they spent most of the time off-camera building coconut bombs...it's not clear how any of this got done. Other than John Mills they appear to be a family of idiots, two of the males willing to believe that Janet Munro is a boy. I mean...James MacArthur was properly ashamed of this and elected to remain in the tropics (where he further utilized his deductive skills, without their improving much, on "Hawaii Five-0") rather than face the inevitable derision in civilization. Janet would have had more hope with the pirates.
