WHO'S MINDING THE STORE? (1963) **1/2 Anyone who sees a similarity in talent between Jerry Lewis and Jim Carrey probably files Led Zeppelin next to Krokus. The action of the film is almost a distraction from Lewis' heroic and laborious contortions. Agnes Moorehead is sophisticated as always as the wicked witch mother in this healthy American fairy tale variation on Rich Bitch Wants to Offend Dear Mother. Contains one of the greatest golf shot scenes ever put down (but not quite as good as the one that took up an entire episode of "Mr. Bean") on film, a lovely boat ride through Tuttles department store, and Vacuum-A Space Odyssey. There is, of course, no actual plot but scenes are strung together nicely and Endora turns good in the end.
