THE WOLF MAN (1941) *** After eighteen years away you relocate to the family castle, you check out the girl of your dreams in a telescope, she talks you into buying this funky walking stick...you turn into a damn werewolf. Bela Lugosi and and Maria Outpenskaya are the ultra-hip gypsy couple and he's mega-awesome eerie as Bela the fortune teller. Lon Chaney, Jr. isn't nearly as scary as the wolf guy, but you kind of feel for him. Really tight script, especially the first 2/3, for an early horror film and good acting all around. You've gotta wonder what PETA would have to say about people roaming around the moors trying to hit wolfpeople with silver-plated canes though.
