ZEPPELIN (1971) *1/2 Obviously any film of this name from 1971 should begin with "When the Levee Breaks," so this one was losing points right off the bat. Michael York is always pretty good, the rest of the acting was fine and there are some really nice shots of the blimp. But that's it. There are extraordinary problems with the script (unrealistic, simplistic, stupid, etc.), the production values (one scene turns from about midnight to noon in the time it takes York to go up a small ladder), and in spite of it all it's so dull that you can't keep up with what's going on, instead allowing (or forcing) your mind to drift off to entirely unrelated topics. There is one reference to a "Count Zeppelin," which is a pretty bitchin' name though!
