ISADORA (1968) ***1/2 "We were wild once. Don't let them tame you." Isadora Duncan. Vanessa Redgrave. High priestess of the revolution. It's not nearly a perfect film but one with a great deal to say and it says it well. In the same vein Redgrave is a wonderful dancer, but can you cast a very good guitarist to be Jimmy Page? It's so difficult to play the true heroes and she does an extraordinary job of breathing life and love and drive into her Isadora. Not at all like Val Kilmer and his clerk's conception of Jim Morrison.
