IT (1927) *** Clara Bow is nice and sweet, and crafty, but Antonio Moreno is the one that really makes this flick go. I didn't even notice Gary Cooper until I read the Hound Review later. Moreno is great as an alternatively drunk, gutless, funloving, etc. young aristocrat. His eye make-up is incredible, almost in the same league as Brigitte Helm in Metropolis. This film, and its genre which are still all the rage, just shows how desperate so many people are for aesthetic Marxism. No, money doesn't really make you better looking.
