IT CONQUERED THE WORLD (1956) * Lee Van Cleef is a brilliant and extremely pompous scientist. I know. Anyway, Al Gore hadn't yet invented the internet so Lee communicates with a friend by long-wave radio. The friend turns out to be a giant turnip from Venus with demon eyes and cucumber teeth. Also pathologically violent and bent on ruling the world. The turnip makes all the cars in town break down, and the watches stop, then blames it on the communists which everyone naturally believes and flees town. Except for the ones that got hit by the turnips' bats which release their beaks into the back of your neck, which makes you like a zombie. Fortunately Peter Graves is onto them. His ethically unambivalent character is forced to attack cops, generals and his own wife, but eventually turns Van Cleef good. In spite of all this I assure you that there's no plot, and nothing of any interest happens.
