KANGAROO JACK (2003) *1/2 Children's movie about a kangaroo wearing a Brooklyn jacket, awash in homoerotic sensibilities. The production, not the kangaroo or the jacket. Estella Warren livens things up somewhat, or at least distracts from the leaden leads, but what's the problem-I mean, a Canadian girl in the Outback? They couldn't teach her Australian? I bet they could have! The best part is probably the first ten percent of the camel farts bit. Christopher Walken satirizes his better roles, quite well, and there's always something funny about the great finding common ground with the banal. Despite it all, it's reasonably entertaining, quite presentable, and the kids laugh like hell when the kangaroo jumps around.
