KINGS GO FORTH (1958) *1/2 It's amazing to think of how popular Americans were in Europe before Vietnam, Reagan, and Iraq. I guess all we need is another Hitler, so long as we're not the ones that produce him. Frank Sinatra is madly in love with Nathalie Wood who is very French and quite taken with the superficially attractive Tony Curtis. It's also very difficult to imagine that, fully 182 years after Paine and Jefferson, this level of inter-racial romance consideration was considered progressive. The plot is very predictable, some of the dialogue truly nauseating, the music reminds you of stuff you liked better, but the acting is generally all right, with Nathalie even good in places.
