MEET ME IN LAS VEGAS (1956) ** This is what they used to do instead of making infomercials. Bare bones plot, lots of dubious musical interludes, and then they trot out Frank Sinatra and Lena Horne and a bunch of people like that. Actually it's pretty good when they aren't singing. Cyd Charisse has great moves, especially when she's dancing satire on burlesque Vegas lounge acts. Even in a Vegas infomercial love has to win out at the end; it's the fifties and besides it always should anyways. Agnes Moorehead is the good wicked witch mother that yells at chickens to lay eggs.
