NIGHT OF THE BIG HEAT (1967) *1/2 Distinguishable from other slow-paced horror films primarily by its length. It does go on a bit. The monsters, um space creatures, aren't particularly frightening but they do apparently set people on fire. Great scenes of draught beer being pulled in an English pub on an island. Jane Merrow is an inspired selection for a speaking part, and even better here than in The Lion in Winter.
