BIGFOOT: THE UNFORGETTABLE ENCOUNTER (1994) *1/2 Refugees from soap operas and sitcoms stand around pretending to be outdoorsmen and scientists. The thing they have in common is that they all want to shoot (something) at bigfoot, and an argument could be made that there's an underlying romantic attraction. Whee! An English Lit major could exhaust a mediocre thesaurus describing what all's wrong with it, but the old standbys "stupid" and "nauseating" cover everything you need to know. On the other hand, Bigfoot almost saves the say, coming across as a James Brown/Bob Stinson construction worker in a bad monkey suit. He's only pretty funny though, whereas very funny is needed. Desperately. Full of ludicrous situations that could never happen, even if you're open-minded enough to accept the reality of Bigfoot.
