DENTIST IN THE CHAIR (1960) ** Silly Don Chaffey farce involving criminals and dentists. The sort of thing with room for the gentlest of double entendres and extended balloon gags. No plausibility required, but social references a must. Bob Monkhouse and Peggy Cummins are just the ones for this sort of thing, fun loving and all, but not about to go out of bounds. Of course the criminal code was written for criminals, and everyone cawn't be responsible for whatever they do on the odd occasion, you see. It all gets a little tedious, like gentlemen trading in philosophy, but that won't stop it from being just the sort of thing that someone might like, you know. The very idea, a hardened criminal being frightened by dental students. Well, other than when he's in the chair, of course. Why, it's enough to make you lawf!
