A FLINTSTONES' CHRISTMAS CAROL (1993) ** It would be asinine to spend too much time recounting how this cartoon fails to translate so much of the subtle, and flagrant, genius of Dickens' original, but the problem is that not much of what makes the Flintstones appealing is apparent either. Wilma's portrayal of Christmas Past owes more than a little bit to Carol Kane's interpretation in Scrooged, but it gets old more quickly and it's just not appropriate for Wilma to keep being such a bitch. There are good bits, or at least funny ones, but they don't get much more emphatic or original than the word turkeysaurus.
