HONEY, I BLEW UP THE KID (1992) **1/2 There is one moment, so absurd as to attain a transcendent level of sublimitous sublimeness. You don't have to look close, but keep your eye on Rick Moranis during the desert rescue operation. And ear. It's not surprising that Rick would rule over the greatest of scenes-and he's good throughout-the surprise is that Marcia Strassman is able to so regularly undercut him with subtlety. Fantastic dialogues that needn't look like all that much on paper. Of course Rick sets the tone for the quarky family, without which there would be precious little attention for the subtleties to steal. And then that baby! The Shalikar twins (Daniel and Joshua) are the cutest little > big > gigantic kids! There's not much left for anyone else, but a clutch of Japanese tourists in Vegas round out the many highlights.
