NANNY McPHEE (2005) *1/2 Mary Poppins meets Harry Potter, presented as a bastard pile of Lemony Snickett. Weak father, annoying children, abhorrent nanny.and concluded replete with white bow as a morality play. Well not for me, thanks. Addicts to happy resolution of seemingly insurmountable family problems may force themselves to adore it, but despisers of unnecessary antagonisms will simply add this one to the list. I guess the children are slightly amusing, at times, but really, what isn't? Given the choice of observing this or the local laundromat.
