THE SON OF KONG (1933) **1/2 Well, after the success of King Kong at least they didn't fall into the trap of taking themselves too seriously. Probably a little too confident, though, the heroic monster doesn't even show up until halfway through. When he does, he's amiable and docile, more like an offspring of the Bigfoot on "Harry and the Hendersons" than the scion of the mighty Kong. On the other hand he does flip people off a lot, he just does it in an inoffensive manner. If you find him somehow inadequate, don't worry, there are all sorts of unidentifiable dinosaur hybrids bounding and battling, and even a communist. A little bit of fun for everyone.
